SV Retail, founded in 2018, is a retail chain of superstores and convenience stores catering to the local community in residential and prime locations across the UK.
What began as a humble venture has, in just a few years, grown into a successful chain of stores. The success of the business is attributed to the complementary skills of its two highly ambitious directors, their drive to continuously re-evaluate business practices, the emphasis on excellent customer service, and their strong belief in robust business systems and processes.
SV Retail acquired its first store in Stratford in 2018 and now boasts 13 stores across the UK. The company has gone from strength to strength, achieving remarkable success with an almost unheard-of first year of business figures in the black and doubling turnover year on year.

The Business
SV Retail primarily operates retail stores, with a wholesale FMCG business supporting the retail front. It procures the best products in bulk directly from manufacturers in the UK, distributes them to its own stores, and supplies other retailers and wholesalers. The focus is on offering the right product mix and attractive prices to ensure long-term customer loyalty.
Development
SV Retail began in a 1,800 sq. ft. store in Stratford in October 2018. The business grew rapidly, leading to the expansion of the store to 2,100 sq. ft. within six months. Upgrades to the EPOS system streamlined customer service and integrated back-end systems for efficient stock control to meet growing demand. By early 2019, the company had acquired a property in the prestigious shopping area of Hammersmith, opening a second store in January 2019. Another store was launched in Dulwich Village, a premium area, followed by the acquisition of a store at Clapham Common, London. SV Retail aims to open 15 more retail units in London and across England within the next two to three years.
Beyond retail spaces, the company is prioritizing its online presence by developing a website to offer fine wines, spirits, and liquor to a wide customer base in the UK. Today, SV Retail is firmly focused on expansion and continuous improvement in all areas of its business.
